Meet our Teachers
Wendy Rothweiler Rhoads - Director
Wendy has been twirling and/or teaching the sport of baton twirling her entire life. She followed in her mother's (Peggy Lacy Steininger) footsteps as she taught along side of her and eventually took over the Scotties Baton Corp. She has captured 30+ Local, State, Regional and National twirling titles through her career as an individual elite twirler including Wee Majorette Princess of America, Majorette Princess of America, Miss Majorette of the Year Elite and Majorette Queen of America. She also won Grand National Elite Twirl-Off and Strut Off. She has enjoyed performances at various venues including the Silverdome during a Detroit Lions/Minnesota Vikings football game. She was feature twirler for Conestoga Valley High School and Millersville University. Wendy continues to share her love of baton twirling with her students. She has taught for over 20 years coaching twirlers and teams to National championships. She enjoys teaching at camps and clinics in addition to her group. She has had the pleasure of working with twirlers from various Universities including Purdue, Villanova and Clemson. Wendy also teaches tap and jazz dancing and formerly was an instructor with Encore Dance Center. Wendy enjoys teaching all levels of twirling and excels in creative choreography and technique. She is a certified twirling instructor and Gold Seal Judge.

Lisa Kauffman is a coach with Ab-Salute Twirling. She was a member of numerous national championship twirling and dance teams as well as a state, regional and national individual twirling champion. Lisa captured the title of Miss Majorette of the Year 2003 and Senior Majorette Queen 2004. She is a graduate of Penn State University where she was a member of the Touch of Blue Majorette Line. Lisa is also a Gold Seal Judge and Certified Baton Twirling teacher.
Danielle Hartranft, better know as Dani, has been coaching for Ab-Salute Twirling since her retirement from competitive twirling in 2010. She is enthusiastic, fun and brings an element to her teaching style that keeps students working hard and enjoying class. She is a local, state, regionals and national champion both team and individually. She is an 8th grade math teacher during the day and also coaches field hockey and soccer.
